A couple of months ago I must’ve read an engadget or gizmodo article talking about Jolicould, a netbook operating system that leverages ‘the cloud’. It caught my eye because it’s simple, clean and minimalist approach to user interface.
As of today, Jolicloud is available for netbook owners to download and install onto their existing netbooks. It’s about 600 MB and still in Beta, so if you have a testing environment on which you wouldn’t mind running this gorgeous interface that has made me want to go out and buy a netbook, go for it.
I myself don’t have a netbook and never really cared to own one because of the low performance issues, small screen size and keyboard, but I slowly find myself leaning towards wanting to carry around a 10 or 12 inch laptop that runs off 3G/WiFi and has an impressive battery life, instead of my 15” MacBook Pro.
Maybe a review in the works of this Jolicloud…
